welcome to a new world

I went to see my friend's new born baby, Lotta last week.

Seeing a baby always surprises me how tiny the baby is.

This is my boy.

3 years and 4 months ago.

right after birth.

4110g (9.1lb) :D

had c section...

he was named " Riku " ( 凛生 ).

" 凛 " means brave

" 生 " means live

I named him Riku , hoping he will live bravely.

He was almost a month bigger than other babies in the newborn nursery and his (small) bed was rocking all the time.

10 days old!

now he already looks different in his first cardigan and pants.

i went to see my sister when he daughter was born and

while she was out seeing a doctor, they both started to cry...

walk after 6

It was after 6 pm when we finally got out of our house.

He was excited in the late afternoon sunshine and his small Jinbei from last year.
I like Jinbei for Japanese summer,though.

He found the moon.

maybe I was the one who was more excited,remembering my childhood about going out

at night.

On our way home, we stopped by a supermarket near my place and

he was so excited because of lots of lighting like festival :)

and his favorite doughnuts made him smile...

saturday routine

It's already Saturday .This week passed so fast for me. Maybe because of preschool teacher's home visit on Thursday. Teachers visit every student's home and talk about how kids are doing at school. I was focusing on tidy up the living room this week... Now I feel cozy in the living room. But... bedroom looks like we just moved in with some boxes stuffed with everything, i mean everything like fabric,his toys,books etc... haha

He found some fruits in the park and

tried to eat them... :)

It was 33 degree today.I hardly saw anyone in the park. After we stayed outside for half hour,we went home and he played in the bathroom with his " ice cream" (whipped shampoo).

Good thing about Japanese bathroom is that there is bathtub and the place where we shower like this. If you own your house, then the bathroom is bigger than that.

We are having 3 days holidays in Japan. I want to go to a hot spring and relax.

Still rainy season here and when it's not raining, I walk to pick up my son at preschool.

I like to take a walk. But in this humid and hot weather? Ok, I have to admit that I dont like

(maybe hate) driving a car... I got a driver's liscence in Tokyo almost 10 yrs ago and I did not drive for 9 years. After I came to the city where I live now, I started driving for the first time.

Anyway, walking instead of driving gives me oppotunities to find lots of beautiful things like

this sunflower. Sounds like an excuse for not driving?? :D

i've stocked my freezer with lots of ice cream, strawberries and blueberries for smoothie.
after i pick up my son from preschool, first thing to do is wash hands and
go straight to fridge... can't help it.

but what i want right now is gelato...

i miss pistachio gelato from Mondo Gelato(now Gelarmony) in Vancouver.

beofre i grab another ice cream, i rather turn off the pc and go to bed...

oh... i have to brush my teeth again :)
